The project got split into two separate and disjoint workstreams: the legal workstream which is looking at the legal and practical aspects of online elections which Concordium is NOT involved in; and the technical workstream which we’re working on with the Alexandra Institute and the COBRA group under the Computer Science Department at the University of Aarhus.
The two projects are completely isolated and only serve as inspiration for each other.
The status is that we’re moving forward with building a proof-of-concept system which we expect to use for governance committee elections in Concordium on or around June 2024. The software will be open sourced and reusable by other projects.
Whether Greenland will implement digital elections or not is not a decision Concordium is involved in making at all.
