Concordium Node v6.0.4 is here for testnet!
This major update brings support for protocol version 6, featuring the new Concordium BFT consensus protocol. Enhanced smart contract functionality includes improved support for sponsored transactions. To learn more, visit our updated baker documentation and concordium-update-proposals.
The protocol update is set for August 21 on testnet. Node runners must upgrade to v6.0.4 before to avoid shutdowns. Stay updated on the protocol status via our testnet page. Expect new versions of concordium-client, cargo-concordium, smart contract libraries, and wallets. Similar mainnet updates are scheduled for September 11 and 25.

There are still many testnet nodes that have not been updated to version 6.0.4. After the protocol update, those nodes will stop processing new blocks. Kindly update before August 21, 2023.
